Opinions?

I just got my myTouch slide about 2 weeks ago. I like the phone a lot, but I just had a guy offer me an unlocked iPhone 3G for it. I was just wondering if that's a good deal or not. I am not too familiar with iPhones, but I know they do a lot. Not knowing a whole lot about them leads me to want to ask other user opinions.

So what do you all think?

As far as the phones go I think that its pretty much a wash but (and i may be wrong about this) doesn't the I-phone lack T-mobile's 3G bands thus leaving you stuck on edge?

And also for the fact that it's not near as customizable as an Android phone. I have friends with the 3G and the IP4, and I must say imo that my 3G slide is far superior to any iPhone I've come across.

If you like your Android OS and haven't had any problems with you MTS (yet).. There is a really strong chance you will be dis-a pointed

Thanks everyone for the feedback. I decided against the trade. Especially after I rooted and flashed the rom to CM6.1.0 RC3 last night. I loved my Slide before, but now it's flippin' insane!

Good choice! On staying with the MTS that is. I have not rooted so i dont know about that part...

My 3G speeds here in AZ aren't doing so hot at the moment. I don't know if it's the phone or the T-Mobile network...

I think its the network. I'm also in AZ (Phoenix) and it seems my 3G connection has been slower recently.
