Optimising Geekbench 2 Benchmark results

I have the International quad core Galaxy S3 (not rooted) and I have been running the Geekbench 2 benchmark on it but the results seem to vary wildly no matter what I do. Does anyone have tips for optimising the overall score, short of overclocking the CPU?

turning off cell radio, turn off power save mode, turn off wifi should artificially increase the score to a unrealistic daily use score.

Still not having any luck though I have uninstalled Nova and gone to a static wallpaper. The results vary wildly between about 1270 and 1750.
