Root optimus f7 stuck in boot loop no back up

I rooted my f7 and didn't back it up (I know I know). Now I need to know what driver to use and what files I need and where to find them to get the phone working again. My computer does recognize it by holding the volume up key and plugging in USB. I have sent it off to LG and didn't get it fixed bc it costs more then the phone did new. I bought an lg volt but would still like to have the f7. Now I am afraid to root this pho e bc if the same thing happening. I ha e heard and read a lot about lgs getting f stuck in this boot loop

Not trying to be mean but some people aren't as nice as me. So I'm only going to say this once search the thread. Better yet look at the stickied posts and go through them with your peepers and omg I think there is a thread about a brick recovery. It's kind of a pain in the ass but once you have all the nessasry tools and files create a folder where you keep all of your phone stuff on your desktop. Then create a folder called Lg Optimus f7 full flash recovery. Save the tools and the original firmware zv4 file in that folder. And read the folllowing tut from one of our other lovely members who beat me to the punch on writing a hard brick recovery guide. About a year ago... Lol. Here it is:

Ok, this phone does not unbrick the same way as most other LG phones will.

You will need:
Drivers installed- https://www.box.com/shared/32c5t7fj2w8xcwr0krjo
LG Firmware: www.oudhitsquad.com/android/LGE/Firmware/LG870/LG870ZV4_06.zip
LG Flash Tool (read the Readme!): Flash Tool Setup
LG DLL for LG Flash Tool: https://www.mediafire.com/?tnda5my51o6gq76 - thanks to rally 517 for sharing his copy

Alternative Link:
This has everything above in one zip file:

This guide is intended for windows users. There is no way to unbrick this phone unless you are on windows due to the software being used for flashing only made for windows.

Put your LG in download mode:
While powered off, volume up + plug in USB (thanks sortoh85). Connect a trustworthy USB cable
Open up LG Flash Tool
Tick "Select Manual Mode"
The DLL selected is called "LG870_20130528_LGFLASHv151.dll", find where you extracted that to
Select Add, choose the tot file you downloaded.
Press ok.

Let me know if I can assist you any further.

When a phone gets stuck in a bootloop this is known as a "SOFT-BRICK" this is nothing you should be scared of its happened to all of us at some point or another....

Basically a softbrick occurs when you f-around with something beyond your knowledge and you just hope that when I reboot my phone its going to work.
Well that's fine soft-bricks aren't really all that dangerous and are undermost circumstances always recoverable. Now its a little different on phones with locked bootloaders and no external flashing software. But I have never heard of a bootloop softbrick hard brick and paperweight your phone or mine or anyone else's for that matter.

We are lucky we have a Loki vulnerable bootloader and lg could care less to patch it. But that means custom recovery and nandroid. Also if you don't want to write to your system partition for whatever reason even though with the method I posted above makes our phone recoverable from the hardest of bricks as long as you don't format the partition table and ems partitions than it is easy to fix just like lg would because we have their flashing software and we have a cracked .DLL runtime file and we also have the original Zv4.tot file from LGS servers and have a com port aka USB v1 v2 and v3 so in short if you didn't know how to fix your phone you need to read about root what it means. What system files are mandatory. Don't go editing the vm or the build.prop and just use root for titanium backup and xposed. Other then that I think you are out of your league but we all have to learn somehow. If you don't know what's going to happen then ask first that's what we are here for. Good luck!

Here is a picture guide to go along with the tut. I created this along time ago on a completely different thread and site when this phone was just a baybay. :)

What to do?

1.Self Exclamatory. Its like a damn kids picture book. Now follow along closely class we don't want to miss a step!

2.Pay attention!

3.If you can't get it to recognize your phone then try a different USB cable (preferably a high quality one).

4. If it doesn't get to 100% than your phone is toast so don't touch it!!!

5. Any questions don't hesitate to ask we love answering easy questions and even more so challenging ones.

6.Profit $$$$$

And that's the extent of my old screenshot and photoshoppe skills back in the day. I'm Aboutconsolidate and make a new "all in one" tut so that it's a complete guide all in one place.

Also you can try this and if this doesn't work than do the former.

  • Download the AdbWipePackage.zip
  • Extract the wipe folder to desktop
  • It has a few files you have to put in C:\\Windows if you don't have adb environment setup on your computer.
  • Just extract and copy adb.exe and the 3 dlls in the zip file to C:\Windows
  • Put phone into recovery mode and connect to computer with USB cable. (note: entering recovery mode: Hold Power + VOL Up + HOME while inserting the USB cable.)

  1. Open a command prompt as administrator and drag the ADB wipe script into the cmd prompt window and press enter.
  2. This will wipe the phones cache and it will reboot without the loop.
If this doesn't work then do a full reflash as posted above.

I have posted in a couple other places, sorry but I am at my wits end. My phone is soft bricked, and for some reason its not able to mount /data , and I can't reflash zip, or unbrick/unroot , and I tried both methods above. I have Philz recovery installed, and someone here said I could change some code in the zip file (simplicity rom), but I don't know what to change. Can a developer please message me or help me figure out whether or not this phone is toast? I did this by screwing around in the hidden menu, just got the MSL code from boost and was about to go try to activate it here in the foreign country I am in. Please can someone help me out? Sorry for the noob b/s but I don't know where to turn

I need some help. My phone was rooted about a year ago (not by me) and it worked fine, but few days ago it would not install new apps or update old ones. The error mesage was 'Insufficient space', but it wasn't, I had 700MB free. So I did fabric reset and now it's not starting. It's in Startup Wizard loop, asking me to create Google acount. So far I created 3 acounts, but it always brings me back to the start. Please help. Don't know what to do.
