Help Optimus Slider App Compatibility

I just got my Optimus Slider today. I've done quite a bit to it (like the Go Launcher etc) and I'm loving it. Hardware wise, I can't complain when compared to my old HTC EVO 4G. The EVO is better on paper, but I always got a ton of lag because of the stupid Sense UI.

ANYwho, while I'm extremely happy with the phone, I'm noticing some odd compatibility issues with certain programs.

Jet Car Stunts does NOT want to play for instance. It simply crashes as soon as you hit the app's icon. If I keep trying to load it several times in a row, I might get a "force quit" error message, but that's it.

Asphalt 5 does not work, but at least comes up with a pop up that says the game doesn't support the hardware.

Oddly, this isn't a 3D graphics issue as many other graphically intense games boot up fine and play just as well as on my EVO if not better. These games inlcude ExZeus, Raging Thunder, etc. Even Angry Birds Rio, a game that gave my rooted Color Nook nightmares, works just fine on this phone.

I've contacted the developer of Jet Car Stunts for assistance. I've gotten one email back that says they're looking into it and that they're not even aware of the phone's existence (yay :( ). I guess I'm just curious. Is this a hardware issue or simply code not written for this particular phone? I'd think that a bloatware free 800 MHZ phone would be able to do pretty much everything on the market save for the Tegra 2 software, so what's the issue here? I mean heck, my old iPhone 3G could play Jet Car Stunts without even trying.

Thanks everyone.

Btw, forgot to mention, JetCarStunts doesn't even show up in Android Market. It was redownloaded from Amazon's market. Asphalt was shown in Android Market, but didn't work.

Well, I might have the clue as to why this doesn't work. I got an email back from true axis (devs of Jet Car Stunts), and they told me their app only supports ARMv7 phones. For some dumb reason or another, this is only an ARMv6. They said at the time of making the program, ARMv6 phones couldn't run their software, though new ones can. But it wasn't worth redoing code to make it work for those phones.

So yay.... hope this isn't going to be a common issue.

EDIT: Just curious, would rooting make this better, or worse? I know with the Nook Color, once rooted, a lot of apps didn't show up in the store simply because my device wasn't registered to be on the store.
