Help Optimus Usage Outside

I have noticed that when im outside I can not see my screen at all because of the sun.Even when I cover it with my hand I can barley see it. Is there anyway to fix this as in the settings? I do have a screen protector on it could that be the problem? Thank you.

You can try turning up the brightness setting to max, it helps imo

Well I feel like a idiot I had my brightness turn all the way down. I turned it all the way up and i can see it now. Thanks Sonic and Max

Just remember to turn it back down once your back indoors. Max brightness will blow through your battery.

Not an idiot at all. I was having the same problem. I couldn't believe that it was the brightness setting when in all other conditions the screen certainly was bright enough.

I just leave my brightness on full blast all the time.

The power widget that comes with Android can easily switch between brightness levels with one screen tap. It's one of the features of the power bar. The Power bar also allows one tap control of 4 other commonly used features that you might want to toggle on/off. The others are Wifi on/off, Bluetooth on/off, GPS on/off, Auto-Sync on/off.

To access the power widget press and hold the screen and when the menu pops up, choose widgets. Scroll thru and find Power Control and tap it.


You can also use an app like widgetsoid to make your own custom power bar.

I have the brightness maxed, but indoors, I dim it halfway by launching Screen Filter.
