options for buying (upgrade) a note 2 (Verizon)

I am eligible for an upgrade this month but I have a question. When i go into my verizon wireless online account, it looks like verizon is going to want 300 bucks for the note 2. However, when i look on amazon and select "upgrade an existing plan" it lists the price as $150.

So, going with amazon would be a no-brainer but since the price difference is so large, i can't help but feel like I'm missing something. what's the deal?

I would just go to best buy and ask them to price match Amazon.

Because they can...why does Store A have an item on sale while Store B does not. What are you looking for? That Verizon GN2 is made of gold? Unless Verizon advertises additional accessories, it is the same phone.

This is not uncommon for Amazon to offer the phone at a discounted price then the carrier. This is not to say it'll stay at that price either.

I'd go with the option of Best Buy and having them price match.

Although if you buy it from Amazon, depending on where you live, you may or may not have to pay sales tax.

With Verizon you will get the *Verizon* logo on the home button, with Amazon you won't
