Orbitz showing higher prices on Mac.

They probably figure Apple users have no problem funding all the lawsuits and copyright battles so they'll probably be fine coughing up a little more jack for a room or flight.

For the record, sarcasm is tough to convey on a forum, if this was meant that way, my apologies.

Not to be an a$$ but if you read the article, they're using data gleaned from use of their site to find that people running some version of Mac OS typically reserved rooms at either higher-quality hotels or higher-cost rooms at the same hotels compared to users of other operating systems.

I'm sure you're aware, every time you visit a site, that site knows what browser you're using on what platform, completely independent of the site storing cookies on your computer. This information allows sites to provide directed content such as what Orbitz is doing or (in a less-suspicious manner) Apple's iTunes download page to provide the most likely version of iTunes you want to download as the default when you click the download button instead of picking it from a list.
 
So what do Linux users see in their hotel search results...cheap backpacker hostels...or here's a pile of bricks, build your own hotel?
