Help Ordered the Sony Ericsson Xperia x10 but got some ?

hello my friends i'm new to the android phone world bought a Motorola backflip last month and loved the game and the android market but hated the problems of the backflip. so i returned it after 3 weeks and got the sony ericsson xperia x10 off of letstalk.com for free (yippie) and awaiting for it in the mail. but i was wondering what will be the advantages of the x10 getting the 2.1 upgrade?

and does anyone got any benchmarks results for the phone like quadrant or linpack or something?
