Oreo draining battery

My phone updated to oreo and my battery is draining like crazy. Even on battery saving mode I've gone from 100 percent to 90 in just 25 minutes without running anything. When I check the battery usage, it says the home screen is using the most. Can this be fixed!?! I loved my phone until this update.

You could try a better battery monitor (GSam is free), see whether that gives more clues.

It's normal for battery life to take a couple of days to settle after a major update, but the rate you describe is too high.

LG G6 I called Verizon this morning. They had me do a factory reset. Battery is still draining.

I don't understand I just talked to LG customer service less than an hour ago and they said that the developers are sending out a fix for the Oreo update issues in a few days @ 800-243-0000. Call for yourself and see if that's correct.

How do we get the fix for it? Is it just automatic?

If you got your device update set to automatic that's how it's going to come but if it's not set to automatic you will get a notification at the top of your home screen. I added LG 800 customer service number so people can call and check on this information themselves about this Oreo update patch.
