organize incoming text message alerts under one contact

Hello, and thank-you for reading my post. I work in IT and when on call I receive text message alerts coming from a pool of phone numbers. I have added each new phone number under one contact called !Pager. Now all of the texts I receive are labeled as such but appear in separate conversations. Is there anyway it can be setup that they will end up in one conversation. After a week of on call the first 3 pages of my text conversations are filled with !Pager.
 
thank you, I am using the Verizon app. It syncs with my tablet. I'd prefer to continue with that but I'll read up on the features or install your suggestion to give it a try.
 
nice app, I may keep it. Unfortunately no additional options. I'm thinking if an app could solve this it would be an upgraded contacts app.
 
You can always install a different contacts app from the play store
 
Any message app I've looked at organises threads by number, with the associated contact name just a label. There may be an app out there that can do what you want, but I don't know which.

The only way you'll be able to do it with the current app is if that app has a setting for it - which sounds not to be the case.
