Organizing Music and Photos?

I just picked up a Telus Desire and it is my first Android phone after being on Windows Mobile for years so bear with me as I have lots of stupid questions.

I browsed the phone as a HD today and noticed that HTC has just thrown the preloaded demo pics and music at the drive level rather than folders.

Is this the best way to handle the data or should I set up a Music>Artist>Album folder structure?

Same with Photos?

Really depends how you want it to be displayed in the music player. Mines done Artist/Album/Song...

There's also a few apps out there that can make syncing your music a lot easier.

iSyncer and double twist to name a few

So what is the best of breed music player?

This has the HTC player but I have been frustrated by that one on Windows Mobile on my Touch Pro 2 and I don't see this being any different.

Ive not found one ive been completely happy with tbh, so ended up staying with the stock one.

One of the more popular ones is:

or just have a quick search of the market under multimedia.
