Help Organizing my Songs list?

So, you know how if you open the Music program and click on the Songs tab, it lists every single one of your songs?

Is there any way to organize this list a little better?

I like to play my Songs list in shuffle mode, but I don't want to play every song on that list. There are certain songs that show up on that list that I don't want to play.

Is there any way to do this?

The only way is if you were to create a playlist with all the songs you want to hear, and turn shuffle on. I'm afraid there isn't an easier way, to my knowledge
