Help OS Services Data Usage 7 gigs in 2 days

As the title implies, between the past two days, "OS Services" has used up over 7 gigs of data on my phone. Today when it happened, I had my data set to off, so this shouldn't even be possible. I looked back however after the new 3 gigs got recorded, and my mobile data was set back to on, when I know for a fact I set it to off. The only related topics I could find on this were old, and had to do with the gallery app auto-syncing pictures. I already turned that feature off, so that shouldn't be

the problem with my phone.

From your screen shot, I see you are on 4G. Have you tried 2 or 3G to see if there is less usage? You haven't got Tethered Hot spot working?

Plan B:

Run your phone in Safe Mode for a few hours and see if the Android OS data decreases. If so, it means that it is one of your own user apps that is causing the issue and you will need to uninstall them one-by-one until you locate the rogue app.

That was in "September"? Has the data usage been OK since then?

Good question. I answered as no-one else had. He/She may have upgraded their phone since then - Xmas gift?
