OK, my original Incredible is currently serving as my backup (WiFi-only) in case I ever lose my Rezound. It is unrooted and running the most current stock OTA until the OTA offer this morning for 4.08.605.19. I haven't accepted the OTA, though. What disadvantages, if any, will I face if I accept the OTA to 4.08.605.19?
Will the new OTA screw up my ability to root, S-off or anything if I want to later? Will I still be able to mount my Inc to my Ubuntu 12.04 notebook? (I read that Jellybean and newer use a different file system that currently is difficult for Linux to see).
Will refusing the OTA cost me the ability to accept it later?
Information welcome. TIA.
