Help OTA Download Interrupted

Blyght

Newbie
Was downloading the OTA and got to 70% when the download stalled. Restarted the phone and it never continued downloading. When I go to settings and check for update it says it is downloading and will alert me when it's done. It clearly isn't downloading. Anything I can do?

save your data and contacts you may need to factory reset to allow the OTA to re download.
or you can try to force it on there with a custom Rom

Since you apparently started the download and did not wait for it to be pushed to you my ASSUMPTION is that you may be experiencing a network problem. (MANY people are trying the same thing you are and the network is seizing up.)

Since you already interrupted it you could do a non destructive reset (hold down the volume up/volume down/power buttons until a menu appears and then disappears) and when you are powered back up retry the download ... and wait.

You could also try ... http://androidforums.com/motorola-droid-bionic/634978-downloading-ota-now-3.html#post5115843 from dfib.

(I got mine by waiting for it to be pushed to me.)

Boot into recovery and clear the cache, this will usually allow the update to download again... Sometimes you have to initiate it manually via a software update check or wait until your "spot" comes back around in the push rotation.

EDIT: Looks like that is exactly what the previous poster said, the link in the previous post gives directions on exactly how to do it.
