Help OTA gingerbread text message problem

After I updated to gingerbread I noticed whenever I get a message it doesn't show the contact name just the number. Does anyone know how to correct this? I'm also having an issue with the market app acting buggy (old version.)

Yes, I'd like to know this as well. I'm having the same problem. No picture, just shows "+1#########".

Just checked my messages and it's now showing the contact name instead of just the number... I also downloaded the new version of the market so I guess no more problems for now.

excuse my ignorance please.... how do I know what version of the market I have and is it easy to download the new version if need be?

When you open the market is it white and green (old) or gray (new)?
My phone did the update automatically but i did it on my tablet but i have to find the link.

Hm, my market doesn't look anything like the pics do that are attached in that link. It looks like the pic to the right, but nothing like the one on the left.

1. Try resetting your phone.
2. If the message was a continuation of a conversation from before you had the update delete your saved conversations.
