Help OTA install problems

Hi there, I got the message for update today; Operator (Wind Italy), and this is the good news. The bad news is that ....something went wrong.

I have downloaded the new firmware (102M) and after that, started the update. Everything was fine at teh beginning, my Desire shuts down and the update began to be installed (little green droid on the screen and the progress bar), but after few minutes, suddenly the screen went black and ....nothing else happened :-( Now my HD has just a big triangle with an esclamation mark on it and , nothing else. Any advice on how to recover? Did someone experience the same problem?
Thanks in advance.:cool::D

Might be a silly question but have you rebooted the phon yet? the image you're seeing is the recovery mode screen. Try holding volume up and pressing power button. Should let you into recovery menu. Reboot from there.

If it keeps booting to that, come back here.

Volume up or volume down? On the HTC Evo, it's volume down + power.

If that fails, yes, remove battery.

Done. Battery removed and then restarted (normal power-on). It ended up with the old versione (like nothing started). Going in Sw update, the procedure restarts ....end ends always in the same way (exclamation mark). I've tried several times, but was unable to install the new version. Tomorrow I'll try to download it again, could be a package corruption during download?

Thanks anyway for your help. I'll keep you posted, and if you've any further suggestion please let me know.:cool:

On my DHD, it's Volume Down + Power to get to Recovery Image that kilo mentioned above but it stops there. It's then Volume Up + Power to get to actual menu.

Not sure why it's a two step process - might be something to do with size, shape and layout of DHD. I haven't done it yet but looks like it would be quite easy to boot to recovery menu by accident particularly if you're right handed.
