Mostly useless but there does seem to be some hope that Sprint and Verizon will actually release KitKat.

So has anyone checked to see if the links to either of those custom recoveries work with this new 4.4.2 root exploit?

Sprint has updated their site for G2 updates to show KitKat. Software ZVB. It's official. KitKat is going live.

So far the Verizon update does not support use with custom recoveries-- a few are working on it. Additionally, reports from those who have manually pushed it are that auto-rotate is broken.
