thanks. it's working now.

fyi if you have windows 7, don't rename the file to update.zip - it already applies the file extension of .zip so the N1 won't see the right file. just right click and rename to update

i just installed windows 7 last week so am not used to that

You da man, Chief

Hey Chief, thanks for providing the instructions. I know how to do it on Android phones, just didn't know the specifics of the button presses for the N1 (as I do not have one in my possession!)

I'll make a how-to thread and sticky it at the top!

MT is great in the gallery and maps.

unfortunately it is not enabled everywhere, which means palm wrap still is a nuisance. for example, while holding the phone with one hand and reaching for an icon across and up any home screen, the palm will often be touching the screen and so your tap won't register.

Nope it's just what Google announced on their blog.
Nothing special unless you had probs with 3G or wanted multitouch

just updated from the zip file; very simple and easy to do as others have mentioned;

how do i check the labs to see what new stuff is there?

There are also a few new features in the labs section of the Maps app, such as measurements and popular searches.

Well I'm just gonna keep telling myself google has a plan for the trackball :D XD. Well let's hope for it soon. An app maybe?

i don't quite understand this... i've run into this problem maybe once about 3 years ago when i got my first iphone. you might just need to learn how to hold your phone, or perhaps lose some weight??

as for staying on thread, after moving from the iphone, i kind of got used to no MT, but it will be nice to get it back :/
