OTA Security Patch: Other Changes?

So today I read about the remote wipe threat and checked for a software update. One was found, please stay on wifi, etc. Downloaded, installed, updated.
But now I'm finding differences around the phone (AT&T).

First, in the messaging app, the paperclip button for attachments has moved to the left of the text field and the text field itself is much shorter (vertically).

Second, the browser app bar looks different and has forward and back buttons now.

Third, here is a screen brightness slider in the notifications pull-down menu.

Anyone know if these changes were announced, planned, etc? Anyone else seeing what I'm seeing?

I know the brightness slider was added to the international version in the early update they got, very shortly after the SIII was released. So, I'm guessing they had an update ready to launch. Maybe had decided to hold off, since Jelly Bean is around the corner, and then decided to roll it out after the remote wipe news broke.
 
I think you might be late to the party, most of us got this update last week. And Im pretty sure that update has nothing to do with that remote wipe issue.
 
No I don't think its anything to do with it either. All fixed before the article. They knew about it months ago. Old news released to coincide with the iPhone 5 release
 
I wish they would fix the group message in the sms app once and for all! hopefully thats in the JB update!
