ota update,unbranded on 02

Just got up for work and my phone has an ota update.
I'm on O2,unbranded.
It says its 27MB

Just downloaded it,took 2 mins and the build number ends in LG6 now.
That's the third update,2 through kies 1 ota.

Anyone know what it changes?

I wouldn't install this update!

It will disable local integrated search ability. Samsung have released it to comply with Apple's intellectual property claims against the US releases of the phone. It hasn't been litigated against the International version in EU and UK yet, so Samsung are just chickening out just in case.

I've always found the local search to be a bit unnecessary, so no great loss for me.

Possibly. You wouldn't want an OTA update on a rooted ROM anyway. Best to stick to Custom ROMS

I was wondering the same thing. I'm also rooted, but still on the stock ROM, I9300 on AT&T in the US.

I think you're both probably safe from the 'update'.

I will wait until I receive Jelly Bean before I lose this feature. At least that is a fair trade and I am gaining something in return.

Only other thing I've noticed is a handy brightness changer in the notifications pulldown. Much easier!

If you're on XX roms you should have had this with XXBLFB

You could always flash the latest stock unbranded firmware that includes the latest updates if you so wished at a future date.
