Help OTG Cable & viewing AVI

1.) OTG: Traveling to India on a missions trip so to travel lighter I'm taking only my xoom. I purchased the OTG cable to hook up to a memory card reader to transfer images from my cameras memory card to my xoom. Hooked it up and nothing. Hooking a usb flash drive up and the light would flash for a second then quit... What am I doing wrong?

2.) What is teh best video player to play AVI on the xoom. DL'd a bunch of movies for the flights.

hi,

you need to root your device in order to accomplish what you want to do in question #1. there is a rooting section here and if you search OTG you will find answers.

as for #2, there are several and are discussed in this forum.

i personally use:

dice player
mobo player

in that order.
