I am looking for some guidance for charging my nexus 7 2013 (rooted) with a powered USB cable. The cable is used to connect a video source and also have power supply for the tablet. From what I have read/seen you need to install a custom Kernel to be able to have charging capability on a rooted device, I understand that. There is a kernel out there by the name "timur" and it appears to have exactly what I need. The only catch is that you have to get a hold of the developer and I have had no luck getting their attention yet.
Does anyone have any solutions on how to obtain this Kernel or have experience with other Kernels that can accomplish this task?
