OTG Flash Drive capable?

Has anyone tried a OTG Flash drive on a LG G3 ......specifically a Verizon Wireless LG G3? I have read articles that it is OTG compatible and have found reviews on Amazon with customers using these drives on the LG G2. I contacted LG via chat and asked the question. A guy named Frank said it is not a feature of the phone, but he would not say whether you can use a OTG flash drive or not....and had cryptic answer of "maybe". I have even found in the following article that there is a LG G3 mobile USB (not available yet). Kind of confused with some info saying yes and some saying no, including Frank.

I would like to have additional storage to transfer video/pictures when I am out and about and this product work solve this. I would like to get the Patriot Stellar Series 64GB OTG flash drive.

Thanks for any help!

OTG works like a charm. The LG built in file manager picks it right up too. Very nice implementation.

exactly. no third-party appsare needed. plug it in, it is on the drives list in the File Manager.

that's the reason I decided to go w/2 64GB microSDs, one internal, one external, instead of one internal 128GB.

Have you tried to take video with stock camera app and directly record it to the OTG? ...or is that not possible?

I have not, and won't be able to test that until late tonight. My OTG adapter is home and I am at work.

EDIT: I see no way to select OTG as a location for either the camera or video. You'd have to save them to either internal or the SD card then transfer then to OTG.
