Root OTG no root possible?

All my flashes work in all other older phones n tablets.
I haven't updated from original 5.02
I'm hoping one of the subsequent updates fixed this.
TIA

Combo bump + clarify dirty language above:

Connect a flash drive to phone.
My other older devices recognize all sorts of different flash drives, while the Stylo doesn't any of them.

I'm trying to remain virgin stock.
Nothing from playstore or xda helps.

Thanks.

I'm very grateful.

But you know, in the root area this already has a substantial discussion...insinuating no stock solution...And I'm concerned about distracting from that thread.

If you wish to delete this it's ok too...whatever you see fit...your command is my wish.

Thanks again whichever you decide.

Hey did you ever figure out a solution for this? I have the LG G Stylo from Virgin Mobile as well...just realized it doesn't have OTG and I'm trying to connect a midi controller...

Sorry í missed this.
NO.
Maybe rooting w/ Stickmount would.
I don't wanna root though.

I'm also tired of this phone. I need more storage and ram, larger screen, wireless charging n usb c.

Aparently if you bought it at the Boost store you may be elegable for an upgrade, I don't know about other authorized retailers. I had bought the Volt a year ago from the same location.
I didn't want to buy one and I wanted to keep it cheap. The Samsung Galaxy J3 has 1.5GB RAM and would have been $80.

That v10 is sweet! I wonder if Boost will get it.. lmao. I might look at the G3 when I get my tax refund... as long as it's rootable and has CyanogenMod. Since Marshmellow requires a kernel mod and unlocked bootloader... And I'd rather have a dark theme on CM then LG's white menu background.
I was on the cheaper Samsung's....Avant the last one...no complaints there...their flagships í wouldn't get though.
I filed taxes on the first day possible: 1/19.
I don't think v10 even goes to Metro nor gets any significant discount...was just dreaming.
Waiting on the next batch of releases...
