Other Droid online Forums??

are there any other busier (in terms of traffic and threads) android forums on the web? or is this pretty much the best place to go for answers to your questions. i've had my droid for a little over 2 weeks and all in a decent phone (better than my BB) but its not very user friendly/intuitive. i'm starting to think i should hahve gone with an Iphone.

i have searched for and posted numerous topics but responses seem very limited compared to what i used to experience on the BB forums. perhaps it's because there are no answers or solutions. for ex. anyway to create email distibution lists? how do you delete all the previous text in an email (Yahoo!)? and other quirks suck as how do i change the factory preset VM number short of having to plug in your own number in a different sot other than #1speed dial.?

What phone do you have exactly. You are asking phone specific questions in the applications area of the forum. If you direct your questions to the forum dedicated for your specific phone you will likely get better answers. And yes there are a lot of sites out there dedicated to many facets of android, depending on your carrier/phone/use of phone you can find answers in many places.

Yeah, I wonder if I'm missing out on a better forum.

I don't like the pop-ads here.

I belong to a successful, free, informative gun forum where they don't have pop-up ads (although there are still banner ads).

If there were a better android website, I would frequent it to the exclusion of this place. Of course, I would want all the informative posts.

I would rate this place a C+, but considering I haven't found a better site, my rating might be suspect.

As far as I know there are no rules against posting these links so I will provide you some.

Android Forums & Windows Phone Discussion @ xda-developers Forums are sorted by phone and they have a dedicated android section as well, this site is better for developers than android forums is

Droid Forum - Verizon Droid & the Motorola Droid Forum Forums for Verizon android phones

Android Forums at Android Central General Android site, they have forums dedicated to each phone as well

RootzWiki A root forum sections for each phone

http://www.everythingandroid.org/forum/ Not been here before but it appears like they have a forums for each phone as well

http://www.androidtablets.net/forum/ Forum dedicated to tablets

Android Phones - Android Forums yeah I know this is here but I belive the OP may have not found the dedicated forum for their phone as all their topics seem to be in the applications area.

Keep in mind this site is likely the largest android community on the web currently and was the first Android fan site so the amount of info here is going to be more than most places. You may also find forums dedicated to your specific phone.

If you don't like the ads try using the app version,

Personally I rate this A+

My HTC Sensation is absolutely AMAZING. That's run on android, but as I'm a developer, I've made some awesome changes to the root OS!

You're using "intuitive" to mean "what I expect". Regardless, both are fairly subjective and it sounds like you just need to spend some more time with Android. The learning curve is steeper for some than others.

Most of the questions in your OP are app questions. I think an earlier reply indicated that they were phone-specific but they're only phone-specific in the sense that you may want to hit the subforum for your device to see if you're overlooking something in your stock apps.

If your stock apps don't offer what you're looking for then look into other apps. You're not an a BB anymore so you're not stuck with the stock apps.

Try Settings->Call settings->Voicemail settings. Not all devices are identical so I'm not sure if that's where you'll find the setting on your device.

DroidForums is fairly busy (and despite the name it isn't Verizon-only). Have you Googled around for Android Forum sites?

Here is a link to one of his other thread, I think he should try going to his specific phone to see if that can assist further, there may be something specific to his phone that can be changed in settings to allow him to do things he wishes to do. Not to mention he has yet to reply to any message on this thread to specify his phone model which would at least give us something to go by in trying to change the default VM # or what not even if he doesn't wish to bother searching on his own.
