Help Ott TV box

I have a OTT TV box hooked to my Bose Lifestyle and a sharp 3d TV. When I am watching the box thru HDMI 2 after @ 20 mins the TV goes blank and Bose controller or TV won't respond until I unplug HDMI from the box.
Any clue?

I changed the setting in the box to turn CEC on. this corrected the black out but my Bose controller will not turn off devices even after I reset the programming on them. Another question? How do I save a channel found as a favorite
