has anyone try this case on the galaxy note 2? i am just wondering if the phone will actually fit in it, i saw the interior dimensions and the phone will not fit. but maybe someone got a hand on it to test it

Judging from the interior dimensions alone I would say this is a no-go. Just out of curiosity what would you use that monster for. Not day-to-day stuff I'd assume.
