Root [OUDHS] Clockworkmod Recovery 6.0.1.9

I rooted it..... i seen where i messed up at.... but i get the tether and it keep sayin ad-hoc mode failed... how do i fix that.... how can i bypass that.
 
Just wanted to say, THANK YOU!!! To Shabby and everybody who helped get CWM and root working perfectly for the Galaxy Rush!!

I was waiting for things to get stable (not expecting), just rooted the other day, everything went perfectly and got a decent speed increase with SD-booster and removing some of the bloat-ware.

you are speaking a very broken english so my apologies if i misunderstand.

getting root is in teh first post of this thread. there is a very nice guide written by myself. i dont have this phone so i cant test anything or help you work out phone specific things like tethering.
 
Im sorry about that , I was up all night trying to fix the problem and i was tired and now i see i was typing pretty badly... but thanks for the cwm for the phone. I might have to buy you that coke.

Im new here and i have read this thread and did everything to a tee and got recovery and rooted.......Thanks to the ones that made this!
I have a question that i didnt see discussed anywhere here! So,i gonna take a chance and ask......Why does everything that i download and backup to this phone go to mnt/sdcard instead of /sd card. Im out of space in a heart beat?
I tried going in with root explorer and "moving" all files from mnt/sdcard and putting them in /sd card. But it deleates them when i reboot and starts installing all back in mnt/sd card.
I was curious as to why this phone didnt come with an sd card?

as for getting the MSL id use CDMA WS

scratch that i just rememberd you need the MSL to get the com port to show up, unless theres a script

unfortunatly gaining support on mobile odin isnt the easiest thing either :/ youd have to purchase the app submit a dump of the phone (mobile odin will do this). then post it in his thread and hope at some point he biothers to update to include yall and you didnt waste 5 bucks....

yea i bought it a few phones back, i just activated this rush last night, had to sell my gs24g and had the rush boxed up, never used before, and now im gonna try deodexing it, made a backup, wish me luck

Good luck! I don't think anyone is doing any development on this phone anymore. I would love to see some magic done with the "Rush".
 
ok so I am totally new, I am trying to root my Galaxy Rush I did my prevail but for some reason it decided to stop turning on, problem with the switch nothing I did. Anyway I am reading this whole thread and I will say I have no clue what anyone is talking about. I follow directions well so my question is: Are the directions at the very beginning of this thread good?, or do I need to wait, really all I want to do is get rid of the boost apps take a screenshot, and be able to make it a hotspot (i downloaded foxfi but said my carrier does not support it) I have Boost. Also how do I put my phone into download mode or ADB

I would like to thank you for this guide. The last time I started monkeying around with phones was when I was hacking the razor(origional). This guide was simple and straightforward and worked like a charm. Thank you again.
