Root [OUDHS] Clockworkmod Recovery 6.0.1.9

Hello? Is there anyone out there still concerned about the Rush? I recently obtained one and would love to root it but am a bit cautious due to the fact that there were some issues with the CWM tar files. I'm not going to proceed unless I have stable files.

I've downloaded & have on-hand the requisite items at the beginning of this thread along with a stock recovery that I obtained from somewhere and also the necessary drivers.

So my question is: In respect to the tar files, are they stable?

My humble thanks in advance to any who will reply with useful info.
 
Right on, LordVincent. I read the entire thread & became a bit confused when someone, don't remember whom, posted a download link for a stock recovery to flash in lieu of Shabby's. So I was under the impression that CWM wasn't quite up to par.

So anywho...thanks for that. Now I just need to render a computer to get this Samsung sorted out, as I am without. An aquaintance of mine has a brand new Toshiba laptop that I may be able to use. But he's convinced that I brought bed bugs into his abode on my last visit. I may have to don a bio-hazard suit in order to cross his threshold anytime soon.

I have psychotically paranoid friends. Such is my life.

Hey! I've returned for an update.

This morning I realized that once upon about 2 months past, I ran an exe file from my flash drivewhilst on a library comp. Finally the light bulb clicked on! If I can run an image editing exe from a flash then...hows about Odin?

Long winded version cut short...Odin has worked for CWM Touch. Works smooth by the way and I am now about to flash Superuser and thereupon, hopefully I shall be a root...err rather, rooted.

Hey I got a new phone and can and should leave clowns like u n the dust...thus said...I like the rush and have no problem helping others. Maybe get your head out the clouds and check around.. I been here for a while and will help as much as possible... BTW I'm working on a new ROM for the rush.....

I don't understand why you have such hostility towards him. he was a member asking for help, you posted about an outside source and he asked regarding clarification on it.

Hello, I have tried to use odin and install the clockwork mod but every time I try I get the following:

<ID:0/004> Initialzation..
<ID:0/004> Get PIT for mapping..
<ID:0/004> Firmware update start..
<ID:0/004> recovery.img
<ID:0/004> NAND Write Start!!
<ID:0/004> Complete(Write) operation failed.
<ID:0/004> Added!!
<OSM> All threads completed. (succeed 0 / failed 1)

I am now at the point where my phone will not boot.It will still allow me to enter download mode, but nothing else.

I just installed CWM on my Rush and got the following:

<ID:0/004> RQT_CLOSE !!
<ID:0/004> RES OK !!

<OSM> All threads completed. (succeed 1 / failed 0)
<ID:0/004> Removed!!
<ID:0/003> Added!!

Did you follow the instructions in the OP perfectly?
Make sure you put a check only in Auto Reboot, uncheck F. Reset Time, and put the CWM tar in PDA.

You can use https://www.dropbox.com/s/ucoh6qb652a1965/M830VPBMD5_M830SPTBMD5_BST.zip?dl=0
to flash the stock ROM with Odin. Check Auto Reboot and uncheck F. Reset Time and put M830VPBMD5_M830SPTBMD5_M830VPBMD5_HOME.tar.md5 in PDA.

I've never seen that error. Hope this helps. Peace
 
Can somebody please tell me how to download the CWM Recovery and Odin files on the very top? Clicking on them just leads to some index page and I can't do anything or save anything. PLEASE HELP.

What about the Superuser file? When I click that to try and download it, the same thing happens it just shows me a huge index list. Could you possibly link me to a download for that?
EDIT: Nothing is working. I can't even get CWM Recovery to install. I do exactly what it tells me to do, and it just keeps giving me the default factory recovery thing. Please help.
