Help Out of Space Error when Installing Apps

RX8tasy

Newbie
My MetroPCS F6 is rooted, CWM recovery installed along with internal/external storage swapped and link2sd plus managed. The 16gb microsd is partitioned with 11gb/4gb (fat32/ext2) via Mini Partition. Plenty of space in all three locations, see attached.

Have trouble installing any moderate sized apps, i.e: Chrome or Facebook. Same insufficient error whether sideloading or from Google Play download.

Tried wipe cache im CWM without avail.

Any thoughts or suggestions appreciated!

I cannot seem to get the internal/external swap to implement on my F6. Can you tell me how you got that to work? I've tried 11extsd2internalsd and when I run the scirpt manually I get tc/init.d/11extsd2internalsd.sh': not found/init.d/11extsd2internalsd.sh[2]:
Usage: mount....
mount:no such file or directory
mount:no such file or directory

Phone is rooted.

Alright, I figured out your problem. Also, after this fix max sure you're using the paid version of link2sd. .

The locations are not properly mapped. Compare the picture of your link2sd with mine shown in the video below.

My internal data which is located at "/data" is the same as SD Card "/storage/emulated/0". Then I have my two SD partitions "/mnt/media_rw/sdcard1" and "/data/sdext2".

Yours on the other hand has "data" the same as "/storage/external_sd". This is the problem.

What method did you use to switch the internal, and external? Most likely you'll need to revert those changes. If that doesn't work then we can use the ln command and properly link the directories.

Thanks for reply. I did check out your video and believed that yours is setup differently than mine (meaning without applying App2External_SD in your case).

Further, I have two following discoveries after hands-on experimenting with Link2SD (both free & Plus):
1. Make sure Setting -> Install Location is set to Automatic instead of External. If set to External, it blocks certain apps from being installed with out of space or insufficient storage errors (i.e.: Amazon AppStore, Google Maps, and WeatherBug in my case). This scenario was proven on my rooted and link2sd F6.
2. For 2nd partition, make sure to use Ext2 NOT Ext4. In my case, the linked apps disappeared completely from the app drawer, since the Ext4 partition was no longer mounted after restarting the phone. Link2SD kept having issues with recreate mounting script due to no CSI structure found.

On a further note, do not do restore in CWM Recovery unless one has a clear idea of what's about to happen next -- the home button no longer works and power button does not lock the phone but merely turns off/on the screen. I was frustrated with my problems earlier, and mistakenly did restore in hope of solving the issues. Now I'll need to load the stock rom under brick/restore guide to start over.
