outgoing texts & calls blocked

When I try to make a call on my Samsung Note N7000 I get a recorded message saying "this is one number you cannot call, go to your corner". Any ideas on how to eliminate this would be great please. Cannot send texts either.

Does your SIM (if you have one) work in another phone?

If not (or if you don't have one) you should probably talk to your network.

I'm sorry if I'm reading something incorrectly, but that message sounds like something that would be done by some sort of malware. I don't remember ever being sent to my corner by a pre-recorded message from a company. You may want to download something to check for virus type things.

BigRedGonzo Thanks for suggestion. Currently my network provider is working (rather slowly) on this problem for me, so will wait for their report. If no success there will explore your suggestion. Many thanks for your help
