outlook notifications (I can't believe this doesn't work)

Hello all

On my second android phone now (started with HTC Hero, now Samsung Galaxy S+) and I still can't believe that it manages to FAIL when synchronising the appointment alarm.

I manage my appointments on Outlook (and this is due to work rules, so please do not advice me to change over to Google Calendar), and when my appointments are synced to the galaxy they either ALL get an alarm (which means my phone drives me mad by going off at all times) or NONE get an alarm (which means I miss important stuff)

Microsoft manages to distinguish between appointments with an alarm and without. My old Palm Treo (that I sometimes miss very much) managed to sync that information perfectly.

WHY THE @#%& IS IT NOT POSSIBLE WITH ANDROID?

Oh yeah, cool design and all that. But a lot of people need dependable syncing and not flashy graphics.

If anyone knows a way to get around this or where I have to go and kick some butt to get it fixed, any infos would be greatly appreciated.

Very much stock issue stuff.
Android 2.3.3
Exchange Server Sync set up in Android with my company Outlook Account
Syncing over mobile internet.

Need any more infos?

Wouldnt you be allowed to install software like Companionlink on your computer to sync using that?

No, not allowed, big corporation, "frozen" workstations... IT Support says it supports the standard Exhange sync, period.

I wonder why Android isnt able to understand alarm yes/no when syncing... why should it be necessary to use separate software? Sounds about as useful as suddenly not supporting to sync middle names....
