outlook sync to google

I tried to sync my calender in outlook to google in the hope that i could see my cal on my phone.

after several hit and miss tries the sync app certainly did something as i saw it go through a couple of hundred entries came back with all the ticks in the box and said it had finished. no errors or anything. so i thought ok its done it.

so to test it out i thought i would look at the google calender using google crome on my pc. expecting now to see in google cal my outlook entries. but no there was none.

i must be missing a step here. not even got to the point yet of looking through my phone.

How exactly are you syncing to phone? What program or app are you using? I use Google Calendar Sync software for my PC to upload my calendar to Google.

I sync my Outlook calendar and contacts to my phone directly using MyPhoneExplorer. No need to get Google involved ....

Dave, thx for the heads up on the MyPhoneExplorer. i loaded it but cant see how it links to outlook. any help would be fantastic.

Haha. Yep, that's probably best. I don't do it now but I've always found bugs in direct Google/MS Outlook syncing alternatives.

I tried several free apps that all had problems. I finally bought gSyncit and haven't looked back. It works perfectly and automatically. Fieldston Software - gSyncit - Sync Outlook and Google Calendars, Contacts, Notes and Tasks - Toodledo - Evernote

I use sync2 after having issues with google calendar sync. I'm currently in free trial, but so far so good
