outside use

Hi all

Love my s3 however one niggle is that using it outside in direct light I can barely see the screen.

I have turned the auto brightness off but wondered if anyone else has noticed this or is there a setting I am missing.

Mine works fine on auto brightness but if yours doesn't, I'd try turning brightness up all the way. The lighter the screen, the less reflective it is.

To be fair with auto brightness on I find it to dark indoors

Its a bit hit and miss for me, sometimes its okay and other times its dark. Sometimes it just takes too long to adjust.

I had the new EVO LTE and it was the same, outside I could hardly see the screen and with auto brightness on, it was to low inside for me.

Yeah I read an article that the s2 and s3 come out as the worse screen to use outside. However as I am in the UK it should only affect me twice in the year

S2 and S3 are both fine on full brightness for me. In direct sunlight they're quite hard to see, but outside on a sunny day is easy enough.

I used to have a HTC Sensation which was good in sunlight with the S3 even though I like the phone I have taken a step backwards, Auto of full brightness are no good on sunlight so I am not impressed.
