First I would like to say that I enjoy my D2G much more the the iPhone I had. Yesterday I rooted it using the D2 tutorial stickied at the "all things root" thread. I opted for the manual method because I have an above average computer user skillset to work from (wouldn't say that I am advanced user, but I've messed and tweaked with some linux in my day). So far I am extremely happy with the amount of customization that can be done visually to the phone. Thanks to all that have contributed to the knowledge base here at the forum.
I've tried using the search to find a tutorial specifically for OCing the D2G. Closest I can find is the D2 OC thread. Is it safe to assume that the instructions are the same (haven't completely read thru all the links at the top of the thread yet whch may answer this)? I understand that my values may need to be different as the D2G has a different processor than the D2.
If anyone can post a link to a D2G OC thread, point me in the right direction, or put me in touch with someone who had OCd a D2G successfully that would be great.
thanks
