Root Overclocking Lg P350

Hello

Am new here and i wanted to ask if someone knows how to overclock lg p350 and if someone got step by step a instruction or a tutorial And would be very nice if could tell be some more things about overclocking and the pros and cons of it )

You'd need root access first, then an app like No Frills CPU or SetCPU would do it.

I've moved your post to the P350 root forums where people who own the device will be able to give you the pros and cons and also instruct you on the best way to do it.

Hello

My phone is already rooted and i have dowloaded the app Set CPU.Now i want to overclock it to 800MhZ cause it only goes now till 600Mhz.I have seen some LG P350s which are overclocked to 800Mhz and want to make it too.I have heared with overclocking the phone runs faster 3d games and dont lag so much.Is that true?

I have the phone rooted, but No Frills does nothing for me.. It offers the max frequency of 600mhz, and some smaller frequencies, but no option to overclock. Will investigate further and let you guys know if I find another app that will work with the P350.

You might need to install a custom ROM/kernel to overclock. Maybe the default kernel doesn't support it?

Would love to, but there's no major mod available for this phone, and the only one I found is quite small and unsupported, wouldn't risk frying the phone with it.

Long story short, this phone is slow, cheap and I can't wait to get rid of it. (For another Android phone, of course, but never 600mhz again!)

There's a port of Cyanogen 7.1, is that what you're referring to?

But yeah, it certainly does seem as if there's not a lot of dev support for the phone in general.

As i understand to overclock my lg p350 will be very complicated,risky and my phone wont be like before( some things i wont be able to use)when i will change the ROM.So anyway.I got other problem too.I got like 40 apps and when i open ex. a game and want to leave it i press home button and then it brings me to the home launcher but it laggs so much and for 10 seconds i cant do anything.Maybe its about the many apps?Got any Tips how can make it bit faster or just to dont lag??

Don't exit apps using the home button, use the back button to exit them properly.

It looks as though the Optimus is quite low spec so you won't be able to leave a game running in the background whilst you do other things, sorry.
