Help Overclocking question

Hey guys, I rooted my phone and installed Milestone overclock and gave it a small overclock to 1.15ghz. My question is, what are good temps for my battery and cpu to run at with this small overclock?

The monitoring apps I put in say my battery is running at 82F and my cpu is running at 58F. This of course being at idle. I haven't had time yet to put her under load and check the temps.

Yes, 58F. That's what this little widget is telling me. I'm all ears with a good app for telling me cpu+battery temps. That's assuming the ones I have are reporting my temps incorrectly. So from your reaction, my cpu temp is good?

This is droid overclock.

Quickclock is still under heavy development and the developer (PandaPaul) watches these forums for problems. (I bet he shows up here.) :D

Truth and nothing but! Lots more to come whenever school lets go of my wrists long enough to let me do some coding! :)

I actually have 3 apps that register battery temp and all 3 read the same. Try Mini Info or System Panel both free in the market.

So is battery temp more important than cpu temp when overlocking? I just want to know because everyone is talking about battery temps and cpu temps seem to be an after thought.

Battery gets warm when you're drawing a lot of current from it or charging it.

Cpu gets warm when you're doing something cpu intensive.

Usually they go hand in hand.

If you overclock AND undervolt, you don't have to worry about the temp. You have to worry about temps when you set a high overclock speed with much higher than stock voltages.

Also has a lot to do with the fact that we cannot probe for the CPU temp on DX/D2/etc.
