Root Overclocking?

I noticed in CyanogenMod settings > Performance > CPU settings > there is a max and minimum CPU frequency. Mine is currently 245 Mhz min and 604 Mhz max.

Do you chaps running CyanogenMod adjust these or do you use some other overclocking app? Or you avoid overclocking altogether?

How much extra battery drain does it cause?

As far as I'm aware, if you set your governor to Smartass/Smartass2, it will over/under clock as and when required so it's only using the highest speed when it's needed. Likewise when you're not doing anything, it will use the lowest

Experiment with different speeds, but do it responsibly (don't go straight for 750 etc) and try to find the right balance of speed, temp and stability.

I wouldn't use a 3rd Party app incase it they conflict, just let CM7 do all the work for you.

Be careful when setting on boot!
If its too high CM usually fixes it (lowers Max speed to default) ... but it may not and you'll have to wipe :L
