Most every intention I had was to help. SOMEone always took it personally. Granted I made some mistakes. Those days were the wild west here. It was crazy. I was responsible for what? 50 Guides? I wonder what forums are hot nowadays and need me. 
Yeah, we had a lot of staff back then and still struggled to keep up!
Not sure the kids do forums much these days: my daughter (who's out of her teens herself) uses the phrase "internet forum" as an example of "showing your age Dad".
But you know what, some of the people who took stuff personally, you'd talk to them, they'd understand and they'd turn out to be really good people and really positive contributors to the forum.

I had a palm and a feature phone. I remember those days well. I thought if only they could make phone smarter. The computer phones were too dumb to be reliable
