Help overheating problem

Dear All,

I have noticed over the last few days a possible problem with my handset... the base of the camera (led flash) area get really quite hot and i can only assume that this is where the processor is?

There is an issue that i believe (maybe wrong) is related. The handset will not come out of sleep mode even whe the power button and volume buttons are pressed....

I find the onlyway to resolve the issue is to take the battery out or sometimes when im lucky the phone will reboot itself.

Is this a harware or a software issue and should i take it back to vodafone?

As always, thanks in advance for your help

the sleep mode thing seems like a software issue. i would return for that if it is very consistent

as for the heating up. Mine gets really warm at times but up towards the top corners. I think everyones does this. Especially when i am playing a HD game.

But i would return it because of the sleep mode problem. I dont have the problem myself.

I have taken it back to Vodafone...... They thing it may be a software issue but they seemed to Know less than I did ooh what a surprise!

I'll get it back in a week or anew one, either way I'll post the news :)

Hey, I returned the phone to Vodafone (AU) and wated a week. Service centre has not told me what the issue was BUT i have been given a replacement new Samsung GN.

Watch this pace for more issues (i hope not!):(

Thanks for the update. Be careful adding ask of your apps back, maybe one of them wasn't playing nice with your phone, so try only adding a couple apps at a time that way if it happens again then you'll be able to figure out what app it was....if it was an app of course

Dear All,

Still having overheating issues and wondering if anyone out there is suffering the same thing?

Just in regular use, the handset is getting "Warm" not hot and freezes and/or shuts itself down... this happens also after an extended time not being used but still on.

remedy is removing battery and replacing..

Any thoughts?
