Help Overheating question. Help

Last night I fell asleep with my phone in my bed. And somehow my blankets wrapped right around it. Once I found it, it was very warm (obviously). With it being that warm all night with it trapped in the blankets, could that of done any harm? Melted any electronics? I have been using my phone and it seems to be fine, maybe a bit slower. If it got to warm would the phone shut down so prevent ant problems? I have the HTC One X.

I am on it right now typing this and it seems to be fine. If anything would of happened I am sure it would of happened by now. But think I killed my battery life a bit? When I'm typing this my phone is warming up, but is that just because I am using internet, or will my phone warm up more often now because of thos one mistake.

exactly what you described has happened to me before. however, my phone seems to be fine, and hasn't had any adverse affects that I know of. Logically speaking, the phone is probably designed to shut itself off if it starts to overheat dangerously.
