Overheating

My dear friends,
My brother has just bought One X but it has severe overheating when hold to the hands. It also retains charge for barely half the day! We checked but no update from Htc. Please help. Thanks.

Return the device immediately. An overheating device is nothing to play around with.

I'm curious: how much overheating is considered normal, and how much is too much? I notice the phone heats up quite a bit during web browsing and in particular when typing into web forms. It's not to the point that I can't hold it, but it does become a tad uncomfortable.

I read across the forums that the HOX does heat up, but since I'm not seeing any alarming battery discharge, I'm assuming this heating up is normal.

Or is it?

i'm not sure if the heating up is "normal" but it does seem to be very common.

my One X got uncomfortably warm when browsing or listening to music.

Well I've ask that question too well they said it's normal
And i try to ask HTC about it well they said it's normal too because of 3G and 4G internet network and when you put it in the sunlight
Don't worry it's fine sometime mine raise to 45.5C
