My battery use has been fine (in my opinion) I'm getting about a day out of it, which I expected and am happy with. Then...
I charged my phone last night before going to bed. It was 100% when it alerted me to the fact it was fully charged so I unplugged and went to bed. In bed, a bad habit, I started to look around on Google Play. I installed two games. Six Guns & Scramble.
I quickly tested out Six Guns and played it for about 10 minutes. Then tested out Scramble. I uninstalled Scramble after 5 minutes because I couldn't get anybody to play with. I instigated 3 new games and was prompted that Scramble was searching for players for me to play with.
I waited. And waited... and uninstalled.
This morning I woke to find the 'requires charging' message on my phone. The battery had gone from full (or just about full after playing those games a little while in bed) to about 16%. As I picked up the phone I also noticed it was quite warm.
I also noticed in the battery stats that mediaserver had used 30% of my battery power which I've never seen up there like that.
The incredibly high usage has to be Six Guns or Scramble!
So I plugged it back in to charge (charger, not usb)
I noticed after 40 minutes of charging that the 16% had not gone up at all!!! And the phone was still warm.
I restarted the phone. And am still charging now. 16% has gone up to 28% and phone is cooler.
Display brightness (checked this morning) was still at my setting of very low. (Almost off)
Any ideas as to what was actually happening?
(Addition: I also checked the battery stats for Awake & Screen On. Both of them showed they were off through the night as I expected)
