Help Override screen timeout

Is there Anyway to override screen timeout while using certain apps or activities? For instance I'd love to override it if I am watching youtube vids. Having to touch the screen so it doesn't shut off is quite annoying

That just adjusts the time out. I'm looking for the "smart" solution... Meaning the app or the phone overrides the timeout without me going into settings when I'm doing things like watching a long youtube video.
