Oversize Fried

I purchased a 3.7 amp 3800 milliamp oversize battery and when I installed it (3/4 charged) my phone started blinking and froze. Any I ideas why? LG Spectrum VS 920
 
Was it specifically for your model phone? If not, that's why. (There may be internal jumpers in the battery to keep you from using the wrong one.)

If it is, there's something wrong with it.
