Owner info on lock screen?

I am not sure what "owner info" you are talking about. I have the VZW variant and do not have any "owner info" on my lockscreen. I also do not see any options in the settings to add this info.

So, either I am missing something, or this is yet another piece of this phone VZW took the liberty of opting out of for their users. (We don't have HTC Backup, HTC FM Radio, and who know what else we don't get....)

Are you using a third party app for this function? If not and it is a setting in the phone, where did you find it?

The lockscreen usually says the carrier name or something.

If you root your phone and install the ViperOneM8 rom, you can change it.

My lockscreen now says my name instead of the carrier.

Please visit our M8 root forum if you're interested in this -

Also, you can replace your lockscreen without rooting and many have that function. Check out "My Name lockscreen" for one example -

And maybe check out "Fireflies lockscreen"

Maybe the two work together, I'm not sure. It's free to test it out.

I'm using MagicLocker Main with the AnyTouch PhotoFrame MagicLocker Theme, both free on Google Play. You can add owner info as the "One line motto" in the settings. I like this setup because there's nothing on my screen except a barely visible mute button, and that's only there because I choose for it to be there. You can touch the screen anywhere and a circle pops up with home and four other options, which you can customize. You can also choose whether to show the time and date. If you don't show them, they will still pop up when you touch the screen. There are some photo frames and glowing options to play with too, but I don't use them.
