P9 Music Player

Hey All

Currently, my Hauwei P9 stops playing all music as soon as the phone sleeps or locks itself. As someone who likes playing music as I run / exercise this obviously isn't ideal because it means my music changes or stops without much control from me. I am using the standard music player which came with the phone - any alternative aps I should try or settings I can change ?

I Have the same issue. It worked find to over the weekend and now it just switches of in sleep mode. I do not want to leave the display on as it drains the battery

I have sorted mine now go into Apps on settings then advanced settings. On draw over other apps make sure the music one says Yes . Then click on the menu at the bottom and reset app preferences and this solved the problem

Interesting. Thanks for the tip but it didn't work for me. Any other bright ideas?

I've read a few people howling about this one on Huawei's Chinese forums. Possibly a problem with EMUI and third-party music players, stopping them running.

Had the same issue with the stock music player and with several third party music players.
The one i stayed with is Phonograph. Good looking music player and keeps playing while putting my P9 in my pocket.
