Help Paging problems

Paulh9788

Lurker
Sometimes my NOOKcolor will not advance to the next page. Still other times, it may go back to a previous page and run in a loop like that. I have to skip ahead a few pages and page backward until I am just beyond where it hangs up. My sister also has a NC and has the same problem. Anyone else have this problem?

Assuming this happens in any app:

When you have a touch screen, you want to keep your screen clean (a microfiber cloth works best for that) and make sure you just have one finger close to your screen. By that I mean... if you use your index finger, make sure your other fingers aren't close to the screen.

If you're rooted, the Nook Screen Recalibrate app might help too.

If it happens with just one app, it might be a software bug.

There have been similar problems that happen only with your NC is plugged into the AC adapter.

I am not rooted. Cleaning the screen makes no difference. As I said, my sister and I are having the same problem. The problem doesn't exist when reading the same books on the iPad. Also, if I read from a book stored in the SD memory card it doesn't occur. I suspect the internal memory in the NC.

iPad doesn't matter... different hardware and different software libraries. :D

You still haven't described the problem.... Does it happen in just one app (which one) or many apps?

Since you're not rooted and it only happens with one app, B&N's app, I'd go to your closest B&N store and ask them.

Sorry, I don't read books, and have never used that app so I'm not much help.

I assume you've got their latest software update, 1.3?
