Paid for apps and updating firmware

Hi all,

I am wanting to update the firmware on my Hero by using the rom on the HTC website but i have bought a few apps from the market including Co Pilot live which i dont want to have to pay for again. Some body mentioned that i would prob have to back up my apps to my SD card but i can not find an app that will work properly.

can anybody point me in the right direction?

Cheers

Have you tried AppManager or Astro? Both allow you to backup apps, both great too.

Anyway, you wont have to buy the apps again after updating. The apps you bought should be tied in with your google account, so you can just redownload them from the market.

I have the same problem. After reseting my phone, I lost my apps in My Downloads in the Market and also i cannot search and view PAID apps :(

i updated the phone and everything worked fine, I am not sure how to sort the problem of not being able to view paid apps but i have seen it mentioned on this forum so have a look around.
